Failure to boot is a CRITICAL PROBLEM and Fedora is the only OS that seems to have this problem with fstab confusion though. I've submitted this bug before only to have it be completely ignored. I've stopped using Fedora on new machines because of this.... The file /etc/mtab file did not get updated with VxFS File System mounts at boot time. Yet, a `cat /proc/mounts` shows the file system is actually mounted. In addition changing to the directory mount and doing a directory listing shows a lost and found directory.

Edit the fstab file, comment the errors by adding a # at the begining of each problematic line, save the file
