Reaction & Break Down of XXL’s 2013 Freshman Class

Let the games begin. The 2013 XXL Freshman list was revealed yesterday and with that comes the debate of everyone on it. Do they deserve it? Who did XXL miss? Some people are even asking who these guys are. The XXL Freshman list has become something of reverence. To appear on the list is to receive recognition for not only hard work, but the potential that particular has (hence freshman).

These types of lists always spark debate and this is no different. This year’s list is considered one of the strongest freshman classes in recent years. The reason why is because although these rappers are considered freshman, most of these guys have already made a name for themselves. Whether promoting big records or embarking on a successful tour, many of these artists have already achieved a certain level of success. As a result, it’s a little surprising to even consider some of them freshman. It’s not that this class is so amazing or dominating, it’s that most of them have had success and they’re now just being grouped into a category. Let’s break it down and see who’s on the list.

Update: Gucci Mane Turned Himself Into ATL Police

(UPDATED) 2nd Fan Claims Gucci Mane Assaulted Him in Philadelphia!

Only 2 days after an arrest warrant was issued in Atlanta for Gucci Mane, for assaulting a United States soldier, a 2nd fan says he was punched in Philadelphia when he approached Gucci Mane at a concert. The fan, only known as TJ, said he was assaulted at Philly’s Club Onyx. He claims he received a chipped tooth and swelling of his face from the attack.

“I haven’t ever been so humiliated in my life and disrespected. He punched me on the left side of my face, right here in the jaw, knocking off my glasses.” said TJ to WSBTV from Atlanta.
